BluesnTrouble were formed in the early
1980s by Tim Elliott and John Bruce. Constant personnel changes
eventually led to a permanent line-up, which encouraged the band
to turn professional, and saw the release of their debut album,
First Trouble, in 1985.
Over the next ten years, BluesnTrouble
toured and/or guested with many Blues great including B.B. King,
Robert Cray, Pinetop Perkins, Charlie Musselwhite, Buddy Guy and
Junior Wells. They also recorded with the Sixth Stone, Ian Stewart,
and Lazy Lester (for which a W.C. Handy Award was won!). Their third
album, Hat Trick, recorded by vintage Blues producer
Mike Vernon, relaunched the legendary Blue Horizon label. Indie
chart success came with their second album, No Minor Keys
(dedicated to Ian Stewart) and Hat Trick, along with
a British Blues connection Award for their 1991 album Down
To The Shuffle., helped to keep the band in great demand for
many years, oftn finding them playing around 250 shows per year
all over Europe, as well as appearing at festivals around the world,
including the Memphis Blues Festival.
The band have released eight original albums as well
as reissues and compilations. The year 2000 sees the release of
Blues Graffiti, featuring all new tracks from the line-up
of Timmy boy Elliott (vocals and harp), Mike Park on guitars, Scotty
Scott on bass and Lucky Lox Lovell on drums. The album reflects
the bands live-sound, a no nonsense mix of hard hitting rockin
Blues and Boogie. The double CD also includes selected tracks from
their 1987 album Hat Trick and the same years
live album recorded by Radio Bremen in Germany, all remastered plus
some previously unreleased bonus tracks from the bands sold
out festival shows in Scotland.
The year 2000 also saw the return of founder member
John Bruce to the band, and along with Tim, Scotty, Mike and Lox,
the revitalized quintet look forward to continue success...
